Scanning ServiceWhat's happening in your councilHelp and guidanceScanning Batch Headers

In AHRC, documents for scanning are submitted using a General Email Scanning Batch Header form placed at the start of each document. The file is then returned to you via e-mail. We regret that we are not able to email anything to private email addresses. It is AHRC policy that there is no facility for using your Self service copier (MFD) for scanning.

In BBSRC, documents for scanning are submitted using a General Email Scanning Batch Header form placed at the start of each document. The file is then returned to you via e-mail. We regret that we are not able to email anything to private email addresses. It is BBSRC policy that there is no facility for using your Self service copier (MFD) for scanning.

In EPSRC, documents for scanning are submitted using a EPSRC General Scanning Batch Header placed at the start of each document. The documents are then scanned in black and white and returned as PDF files to the F: drive on your computer. Your Océ copier/printer can also act as a scanner, but the automatic file name generated by those machines is different to those generated in JRS and the file is not text searchable when stored in SharePoint. If you have not been shown, please contact a member of JRS Client Services Team.

In ESRC, documents for scanning are submitted using an ESRC batch header (which can be found in SharePoint) placed at the start of each document. The documents are scanned in black and white. PDF files are generated and sent directly to the SharePoint. Please contact your SharePoint coordinator if you need information on how to generate the batch header. It is ESRC policy that there is no facility for using your Self service copier (MFD) for scanning.

In MRC, documents for scanning are submitted using a General Email Scanning Batch Header form placed at the start of each document. The file is then returned to you via e-mail. We regret that we are not able to email anything to private email addresses. It is AHRC policy that there is no facility for using your Self service copier (MFD) for scanning.

In NERC, documents for scanning are submitted using a NERC Scanning Batch Header placed at the start of each document. The documents are scanned in black and white. PDF files are generated and sent directly to the EDRMS (Electronic Document Records Management System). Originals will be stored by JRS for 14 days before being destroyed. However, if requested, originals will be returned to you. Please contact your EDRMS coordinator for information on how to generate the batch header. It is NERC policy that there is no facility for using your Self service copier (MFD) for scanning.

In STFC, documents for scanning are submitted using a General Email Scanning Batch Header placed at the start of each document. The documents are scanned in black and white. PDF files are generated and emailed to you. It is STFC policy that there is no facility for using your Self service copier (MFD) for scanning.

In SSC Ltd, incoming post is sorted by the SSC post team and passed to the JRS team for scanning. Documents processed in this way are delivered directly into Oracle UCM. Other documents that are not handled by the SSC post team are submitted using a General Email Scanning Batch Header placed at the start of each document. The documents are scanned in black and white. PDF files are generated and emailed directly to your email address. We regret that we are not able to email anything to private email addresses. It is SSC Ltd policy that there is no facility for using your Self service copier (MFD) for scanning.

In TSB, documents for scanning are submitted using a EPSRC General Scanning Batch Header placed at the start of each document. The documents are then scanned in black and white and returned as PDF files to the F: drive on your computer. Your Océ copier/printer can also act as a scanner, but the automatic file name generated by those machines is different to those generated in JRS and the file is not text searchable when stored in SharePoint.
